Download the latest release from You can download either the managed or unmanaged solution depending on your preference.

Browse to your the URL of your CRM installation. Go to the Settings -> Solutions tab and click Import.

You will see the Import Solution dialog. Click the Browse button and select the location of the Advanced CRM 2011 Auto Number solution that you've just downloaded. Click Next once you've done that.

On the next screen, you will see the publisher settings. Click Next.

Ensure that you check the "Activate any processes and enable any SDK message processing steps included in the solution" and click Next.

Wait a few seconds while the solution is getting installed and click Close.

I followed the examples exactly, but nothing populates the number field I created (text field). Where do I go from here?

In principle a great tools, but doesn't work at least on CRM Online 2011.

Inadequate documentation.. How will this newly created custom attribute appear automatically on the form, for example account?

I tried working with this solution and creating custom attribute in Account with the same name as that custom counter. It doesn't work.

Could you please update the complete instructions, how this custom counter field will appear on any entity form?
